Braingasm for sleep

Sometimes writers have insomnia. Here’s what I think about that: It’s part of the game. See, when you spend so many hours concentrating, the brain has a difficult time un-concentrating. I have found that if we get up, grab something to write with, and squeeze those insomnia-inducing thoughts onto paper (or computer), rest comes easily. It’s like a braingasm, you see, and the world gets all fluffy after one of those. We smile, and drift off feeling delicious. Insomnia? You’re not sick. You’re a writer.
