Sacrifice for knowledge of runes

We can purchase books about runes. We can study the many pages that flood the internet. And yet, know this–runes are a secret language. Only the vain and disillusioned could think that language could be revealed in its entirety by mere book study. One cannot learn such a personal language or the specific meanings that apply to individual paths, in hours, or days, or months of book study. No. Runes are a lifestyle, a pathway of inner discovery that stretches for a lifetime … and even then they may not be fully understood. Knowledge requires sacrifice of time, so much time in silence and workings. Books are merely a start, a seed to open the veil so that we may peek in through and make the decision whether we want to delve deeper into the mystery that so few truly know. Odin sacrificed an eye for knowledge. Many others have sacrificed much more. Therefore, yes, I am living a sacrificial life, in pursuit of knowledge. My runes course through my veins, are infused with my blood and male essence, and I do not doubt, the secret is there. For I have seen things, felt things beyond comprehension … and all I can do is grin at the naysayers who claim it to be a game….

      • Ah, you caught that little glitch, aye? Sorry ’bout that, the spelling I mean, not the statement ๐Ÿ™‚ For I do believe my mind has a tendency to spill meaningless words. Anyhoo, (yes, I said “hoo”), I thank you for disagreeing with me. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love. x

          • You are too kind, beautiful Rose. And I thank you x Now, I have read your work, which holds so much meaning it stuns me at times. My fiction is where my meaning lives. Yours seems to breathe in everything you pen. Just sayin’ … not kissing up … much ๐Ÿ™‚

You’ll have never laughed so hard, or cried so hard, I guarantee it. ๐Ÿ™‚ And as far as your words being “too weighted”, too weighted only happens in repetition, which you do not possess. But I know how self-doubt goes. And I think you touched on a point that I suffer from also, about your “cheeky” side not showing up. I thinks that’s why I have no confidence in the various posts I make, because my fun side is not included. Yep, you hit that on the nose.
